INTRODUCTION:

All of these pages have the same verses at top in the introduction, designed to help you understand how to understand the Word of God, in context, without any of one's own private interpretation which changes meanings to fit one's pet doctrines. Not to mention goes against the Word of God.

(Deuteronomy 4:2 [KJV])
Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

(Proverbs 30:5, 6 [KJV])
Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

(Isaiah 28:10 [KJV])
For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

(Isaiah 28:13 [KJV])
But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

(2 Peter 1:20 [KJV])
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

(2 Peter 3:16 [KJV])
As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

(Psalms 12:6-7 [KJV])
The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

(1 Thessalonians 2:13 [KJV])
For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

(2 Timothy 2:15-16 [KJV])
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

(Acts 17:10-11 [KJV])
And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

As the verses above say and teach, always research for yourself, always use all of the context of all Scripture, always rightly divide that Word of Truth and never privately interpret it!

All of the studies found here, whether book studies or topical studies, are done with research with mainly two things: The KING JAMES BIBLE and a plain old, 1828 Webster's Dictionary. Why? Outside of actually studying secular and Jewish history, archaeology, one needs nothing more. You do not need foreign, dead languages that no one speaks, nor lexicons, concordances nor commentaries, because they differ not only with one another and with the KING JAMES BIBLE, they create division, confusion, debate, and unbelief, apostasy, and a falling away from God Himself. We do not need them. That Word of God written and preserved for us in our own language is supposed to be enough, like the Old Testament was for the Jews, and as the New Testament was for the early Christians in Greek, Latin, Italian, Spanish, German, etc.

There are studies within as tangents on words, subjects found within the two testaments, as to broaden the scope of the study, to learn more, deeper truths. This is not an intellectual site with PhDs, theologians, and no worldly wisdom.. Check everything out, everything. Not just here, but with everything you read and see and hear. Be Bereans:

Always research for yourself, use all of the context, and never privately interpret!

THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST: DOES IT SAVE US?

BLOOD, n.
  1. The fluid which circulates through the arteries and veins of the human body, and of other animals, which is essential to the preservation of life. This fluid is generally red. If the blood of an animal is not red, such animal is called exsanguious, or white-blooded; the blood being white, or white tinged with blue.
  2. Kindred; relation by natural descent from a common ancestor; consanguinity. God hath made of one blood, all nations of the earth. Acts 17.
  3. Royal lineage; blood royal; as a prince of the blood.
  4. Honorable birth; high extraction; as a gentleman of blood.
  5. Life. Shall I not require his blood at your hands? 2 Sam 4.
  6. Slaughter; murder, or bloodshedding. I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu. Hosea 1. The voice of thy brother's blood crieth to me from the ground. Gen 4.
  7. Guilt, and punishment. Your blood be upon your own heads. Acts 18.
  8. Fleshly nature;; the carnal part of man; as opposed to spiritual nature,or divine life. Who were born, not of flesh and blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1.
  9. Man, or human wisdom, or reason. Flesh and blood hath not revealed it to thee, but my Father who is in heaven. Mat 16.
  10. A sacramental symbol of the blood of Christ. This is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for the remission of sins. Mat 26.
  11. The death and sufferings of Christ. Being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Rom 5:3.
  12. The price of blood; that which is obtained by shedding blood, and seizing goods. Woe to him that buildeth a town with blood. Hab 2. Acts 1.
  13. Temper of mind; state of the passions; but in this sense, accompanied with cold or warm, or other qualifying word. Thus to commit an act in cold blood, is to do it deliberately, and without sudden passion. Warm blood denotes a temper inflamed or irritated; to warm or head the blood, is to excite the passions.
  14. A hot spark; a man of fire or spirit; a rake.
  15. The juice of any thing, especially if red; as, "the blood of grapes." Gen 49. Whole blood. In law, a kinsman of the whole blood is one who descends from the same couple of ancestors; of the half blood, one who descends from either of them singly, by a second marriage.

YES INDEED, IT SAVES US, ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURE ITSELF

The word "BLOOD" Appears in every book of God's Word except for fifteen of them-namely, the books of Ezra, Esther, Nehemiah, Daniel (strangely), Amos, Obadiah, Malachi, 2 Corinthians, Philippians, 1 & 2 Thessalonians, 1 & 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon,

(Genesis 3:21 [KJV])
Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

In order to make clothing of the skin of an animal, it must be killed and skinned, shedding blood. Even......back........then.....blood was important to God, meaning life, the life of an innocent animal. This sacrifice was to cover their sin, which led to the shame of their nakedness, now present in the world after the fall. It covered their sin, but did not remove it. The blood of Jesus Christ as a word in the text is removed, many times, in the "modern" "versions", such as the "NIV", "RSV", NKJV", "ESV", "NLT" etc. in many places, cover to cover. The importance of the blood sacrifice is manifold:

(Genesis 4:1-5 [KJV])
And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD. And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering: But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

(Matthew 27:24-26 [KJV])
When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it. Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children. Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified. Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.

Even Pilate himself knew it was the BLOOD he was trying to declare his innocence over, not just the death, plus the Jews themselves, who wanted Jesus crucified, knew and freely acknowledged that it was His blood that would be upon their own heads for having Jesus crucified, because His manner of death would be by bleeding to death on that Cross. Scourging was a way to draw lots of blood out from the body, causing one to bleed to death if left un-bandaged. Not to mention CRUCIFIXION!

THE BLOOD OF THE COVENANT

(Exodus 24:8 [KJV])
And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words.

(Ezekiel 44:7 [KJV])
In that ye have brought into my sanctuary strangers, uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary, to pollute it, even my house, when ye offer my bread, the fat and the blood, and they have broken my covenant because of all your abominations.

(Zechariah 9:11 [KJV])
As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.

(Hebrews 10:29 [KJV])
Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

(Hebrews 12:24 [KJV])
And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

(Hebrews 13:20 [KJV])
Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

  • The same phrase "the blood of the covenant" is in the New Testament in Hebrews
  • "It is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul." (Leviticus 17:11)
  • Blood in the Old Testament atoned for and covered sin, until the next time they needed it.
  • The Messiah Jesus completely atoned, removed it from us as far as the east is from the west, forever, through His Innocent shed Blood.
  • Life, blood always interchangeable, inexorably linked. "neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the LORD." (Leviticus 19:16 [KJV])

  • Even the type of blood was important in the sacrifices to God, lambs, goats, bullocks, etc. Not hog blood, not the blood of unclean animals, etc. If it touched a garment of the Levitical priesthood, the garment was holy. If it touched an earthen pot, that pot was unholy, to be destroyed. (Leviticus 6)

  • Flesh and blood together are often used to describe our mortal state in Scripture
  • We are redeemed to God by the blood of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 1:7, Colossians 1:14)
  • We are brought near to God the Father by that same Blood (Ephesians 2:13)
  • We have peace with God the Father through that same blood of the LORD Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:20)
  • Jesus went into the Holy Place, just once, in Heaven, with His own blood, after redeeming us through that same blood (Hebrews 9:12)

  • Jesus Christ will return with and clothed with a vesture dipped in the blood of His enemies (Revelation 19:13)
  • In the Old Testament, the blood was drained, wring out (fatted fowls) spilled, sprinkled, poured all over the place, as in the top of the altar, down the sides dripping, on the floor/ground under it, on the horns of the altar, on the priests' ears, big toe, thumb.
  • About the only things that were not done to it was to be eaten or preserved
  • In fact, blood is so ingrained in Scripture, cover to cover, that it is more than impossible and extremely dishonest, heretical to separate it from God (Jesus Christ), from us, from life, from death.

  • Therefore, one must only conclude from the Word of God, only, that it was not JUST the death of Jesus Christ that saved ANYONE, but His death by His BLOOD, as it says. Jesus could NEVER, EVER have been suffocated, poisoned, choked, beaten to death (with no bleeding!), as the BLOOD was the important part, Genesis to Revelation

    • (Genesis 4:10 [KJV])
And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.

BLOOD CRIED OUT TO GOD IN THE MURDER OF ABEL

    (Genesis 4:11 [KJV])
    And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;

THAT SHEDDING CAUSED CAIN'S CURSE. Abel was not just buried after dying a natural death, nor was he poisoned nor suffocated, but God clearly brings out his death is by blood, being spilled on the ground-no matter how Abel died!

    (Genesis 9:4 [KJV])
But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.

MEAT MUST BE BLED, DRAINED OF ALL BLOOD, BEFORE EATING

And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man.

BLOODSHED, PUNISHMENT was what God called the command to eat of the flesh of animals after the Flood

    (Genesis 9:6 [KJV])
Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.

THERE WAS A DEATH PENALTY FOR SHEDDING BLOOD (MURDER), BLOOD FOR BLOOD, LIFE FOR LIFE, DEATH FOR DEATH

    (Genesis 37:22 [KJV])
And Reuben said unto them, Shed no blood, but cast him into this pit that is in the wilderness, and lay no hand upon him; that he might rid him out of their hands, to deliver him to his father again.

    BLOODSHED=MURDER

    (Genesis 37:26 [KJV])
And Judah said unto his brethren, What profit is it if we slay our brother, and conceal his blood?

    (Genesis 37:31 [KJV])
    And they took Joseph's coat, and killed a kid of the goats, and dipped the coat in the blood;

ONCE AGAIN, DEATH=BLOODSHED. BLOOD REPRESENTS DEATH BY ANIMAL

    (Exodus 4:9 [KJV])
And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither hearken unto thy voice, that thou shalt take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land: and the water which thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land.

AND NOW, BLOOD is literally DEATH TO THE LAND! God could have turned it into wine, cement or anything else He wanted. This was a judgment on Egypt's pagan sacrifices, bloodshed

    (Exodus 4:25 [KJV])
Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me.

    (Exodus 7:20 [KJV])
And Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.

    (Exodus 7:21 [KJV])
And the fish that was in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.

    BLOOD=DEATH

    (Exodus 12:7 [KJV])
And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.

    (Exodus 12:13 [KJV])

    (Exodus 12:22 [KJV])
And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.

BLOOD OF AN INNOCENT LAMB PROTECTS, AS IN THE GOSPEL OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

    (Exodus 23:18 [KJV])
Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of my sacrifice remain until the morning.

    (Exodus 34:25 [KJV])
Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left unto the morning.

BLOOD WAS TO BE OFFERED WITHOUT LEAVEN. LEAVEN REPRESENTS SIN IN SCRIPTURE, ERGO THE BLOOD WAS TO BE PURE

And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.

    (Exodus 24:8 [KJV])

    (Ezekiel 16:22 [KJV])
And in all thine abominations and thy whoredoms thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, when thou wast naked and bare, and wast polluted in thy blood.

    (Ezekiel 16:36 [KJV])
    Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thy filthiness was poured out, and thy nakedness discovered through thy whoredoms with thy lovers, and with all the idols of thy abominations, and by the blood of thy children, which thou didst give unto them;

    (Ezekiel 18:10 [KJV])
If he beget a son that is a robber, a shedder of blood, and that doeth the like to any one of these things,

    (Ezekiel 19:10 [KJV])
Thy mother is like a vine in thy blood, planted by the waters: she was fruitful and full of branches by reason of many waters.

    (Ezekiel 21:32 [KJV])
Thou shalt be for fuel to the fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of the land; thou shalt be no more remembered: for I the LORD have spoken it.

    (Ezekiel 22:2 [KJV])
Now, thou son of man, wilt thou judge, wilt thou judge the bloody city? yea, thou shalt shew her all her abominations.

    (Ezekiel 22:3 [KJV])
Then say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD, The city sheddeth blood in the midst of it, that her time may come, and maketh idols against herself to defile herself.

    (Ezekiel 22:6 [KJV])
Behold, the princes of Israel, every one were in thee to their power to shed blood.

    (Ezekiel 22:9 [KJV])
In thee are men that carry tales to shed blood: and in thee they eat upon the mountains: in the midst of thee they commit lewdness.

    (Ezekiel 22:12 [KJV])
In thee have they taken gifts to shed blood; thou hast taken usury and increase, and thou hast greedily gained of thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord GOD.

    (Ezekiel 22:13 [KJV])
Behold, therefore I have smitten mine hand at thy dishonest gain which thou hast made, and at thy blood which hath been in the midst of thee.

    (Ezekiel 22:27 [KJV])
Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain.

    (Ezekiel 23:45 [KJV])
And the righteous men, they shall judge them after the manner of adulteresses, and after the manner of women that shed blood; because they are adulteresses, and blood is in their hands.

    (Ezekiel 24:6 [KJV])
Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city, to the pot whose scum is therein, and whose scum is not gone out of it! bring it out piece by piece; let no lot fall upon it.

    (Ezekiel 24:7 [KJV])
    For her blood is in the midst of her; she set it upon the top of a rock; she poured it not upon the ground, to cover it with dust;

    (Ezekiel 24:8 [KJV])
That it might cause fury to come up to take vengeance; I have set her blood upon the top of a rock, that it should not be covered.

    (Ezekiel 28:23 [KJV])
For I will send into her pestilence, and blood into her streets; and the wounded shall be judged in the midst of her by the sword upon her on every side; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

    (Ezekiel 32:6 [KJV])
I will also water with thy blood the land wherein thou swimmest, even to the mountains; and the rivers shall be full of thee.

    (Ezekiel 33:4 [KJV])
Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.

    (Ezekiel 33:5 [KJV])
He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.

Here blood is the same as a soul

    (Ezekiel 35:5 [KJV])
Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end:

    (Ezekiel 39:17 [KJV])
And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.

    (Ezekiel 39:18 [KJV])

And he said unto me, Son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; These are the ordinances of the altar in the day when they shall make it, to offer burnt offerings thereon, and to sprinkle blood thereon.

    (Ezekiel 43:20 [KJV])
And thou shalt take of the blood thereof, and put it on the four horns of it, and on the four corners of the settle, and upon the border round about: thus shalt thou cleanse and purge it.

    (Ezekiel 44:15 [KJV])
But the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, that kept the charge of my sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me, they shall come near to me to minister unto me, and they shall stand before me to offer unto me the fat and the blood, saith the Lord GOD:

    (Ezekiel 45:19 [KJV])
And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering, and put it upon the posts of the house, and upon the four corners of the settle of the altar, and upon the posts of the gate of the inner court.

    (Hosea 1:4 [KJV])
And the LORD said unto him, Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and will cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel.

    (Hosea 6:8 [KJV])
Gilead is a city of them that work iniquity, and is polluted with blood.

    (Habakkuk 2:8 [KJV])

    (Habakkuk 2:17 [KJV])
For the violence of Lebanon shall cover thee, and the spoil of beasts, which made them afraid, because of men's blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.

That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

CHRIST"S OWN WORDS ABOUT CHRIST'S OWN BLOOD

    (Matthew 26:28 [KJV])
For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

    (Mark 14:24 [KJV])
And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.

    (Luke 22:20 [KJV])
Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.

    (John 6:54-66 [KJV])
Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.

Now, according the false teaching that the BLOOD Of Jesus Christ did not have to be shed to save us, why did Jesus say that His Blood, shed for us, IS the New Testament IN HS BLOOD!, along with His Body, for our ordinance of communion of the bread and wine?

    (Matthew 27:6 [KJV])

    (Luke 11:50 [KJV])
    That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation;

    (Ephesians 6:12 [KJV])
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth: In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.

The reference here is to Isaiah 53:6:

Of course, this is referring to Isaiah 53

A STUDY IN BLOOD: HEBREWS 9

The context here is a contrast in Old and New Testaments, God's dealings with both Jew and Gentile, as in the description of the tabernacle, what went on in it, and the result to a sinner, versus salvation through the Cross of the LORD Jesus Christ.

    (Hebrews 9:1-10 [KJV])
Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary. For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary. And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all; Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant; And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly. Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God. But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people: The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing: Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

The most important part here is the part where it says that the high priest went in once per year, but not without blood. Blood imperfect, so it covered their sin(s) only.

    (Hebrews 9:11-14 [KJV])
But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Contrast that to perfect blood from a perfect sacrificial lamb, God Himself being that lamb. Our conscience is purged, before God, forever. Once done, not yearly done. Because it is holy.

    (Hebrews 9:15 [KJV])
And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

    (Hebrews 9:16 [KJV])
For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.

    Death, blood, here again interchangeable.

    (Hebrews 9:17-22 [KJV])
For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth. Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood. For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you. Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry. And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

Death, blood, interchangeable once again .The death of the testator, dedicated with blood.

    (Hebrews 9:23 [KJV])
It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

So, the shed Blood of the LORD Jesus Christ was so powerful to save that it only had to be offered one time, not yearly, as opposed to the earthly shed blood of animals, which never saved anyone, but only covered their sin. Jesus entered into Heaven itself with His own shed BLOOD!

    (Ezekiel 22:3 [KJV])
Then say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD, The city sheddeth blood in the midst of it, that her time may come, and maketh idols against herself to defile herself.

    (Ezekiel 22:4 [KJV])
Thou art become guilty in thy blood that thou hast shed; and hast defiled thyself in thine idols which thou hast made; and thou hast caused thy days to draw near, and art come even unto thy years: therefore have I made thee a reproach unto the heathen, and a mocking to all countries.

    (Ezekiel 24:6 [KJV])
Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city, to the pot whose scum is therein, and whose scum is not gone out of it! bring it out piece by piece; let no lot fall upon it.

    (Ezekiel 24:7 [KJV])
    For her blood is in the midst of her; she set it upon the top of a rock; she poured it not upon the ground, to cover it with dust;

    (Ezekiel 24:8 [KJV])
That it might cause fury to come up to take vengeance; I have set her blood upon the top of a rock, that it should not be covered.

    (Ezekiel 24:9 [KJV])
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city! I will even make the pile for fire great.

    (Ezekiel 33:6 [KJV])
But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.

    (Ezekiel 33:8 [KJV])

Wherefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Ye eat with the blood, and lift up your eyes toward your idols, and shed blood: and shall ye possess the land?

    (Ezekiel 35:5 [KJV])
Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end:

    (Ezekiel 35:6 [KJV])
Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: sith thou hast not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee.

And thou shalt take of the blood thereof, and put it on the four horns of it, and on the four corners of the settle, and upon the border round about: thus shalt thou cleanse and purge it.

    (Ezekiel 44:7 [KJV])

    (Ezekiel 44:15 [KJV])
But the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, that kept the charge of my sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me, they shall come near to me to minister unto me, and they shall stand before me to offer unto me the fat and the blood, saith the Lord GOD:

    (Ezekiel 45:19 [KJV])
