MATTHEW 24
And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nati ons; and then shall the end come. When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
- The majesty and glory of the temple expressed to Jesus by the disciples
- The stones were completely disassembled by the Romans one after another, completely undone, because there was a rumor that the Jews hid gold between the stones. This was a concerted effort to find it. No gold was there. Prophecy fulfilled, since the ancients did not do this. They simply burned it down or rammed it with teams and large logs and after pulled the walls over with teams of horses and ropes
THE THREE QUESTIONS
1.) When is the destruction of the temple?
2.) How will people know when you are coming back"
3.) When is the end of the world?
THE ANSWER:
- The admonition and warning to not be deceived and know that many then, since then, and today, claimed and claim to be the Christ, leading many astray, forming cults of all sorts then as now
First signs:
- False Christs
- Wars and rumours of wars
- Famines
- Pestilences
- Earthquakes in divers places.
- Right now wars and rumors of wars, also the many in the last few hundred years, world wars, regional wars, etc. None of these are THE war, the LAST war, Armageddon
-
THE ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION:Antiochus IV Epiphanes, a Seleucid king (ruled ca.175-164 B.C.) and slew pigs on the altar from in ca. 167 B.C. The altar, it is assumed, was to his god Zeus, , he himself declaring himself God, an abomination, open blasphemy and started the
dispersia which was until 1948 when God brought the Israelites home again
Matthew 24:15
When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
THE HOLY OF HOLIES: THE ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION
This account is secular and recorded in the Apocryphal book of the Maccabees and the writings of Josephus
The first abomination of desolation was with Antiochus Epiphanes, 15th day of Chislev, which is to us now December 25th,165 B.C. which was also his birthday
- He broke the league and agreement with the Jews he had made and replaced the alter with his own pagan idol to Zeus making an idol in the Holy of Holies and a temple there to "Jupiter Olympus"
- Looted all of the treasures, except the ark of the covenant (elsewhere, already gone)
- He then, in his hatred, slew a pig n that altar, the Abomination of Desolation, the first one.
- 10,000 Jewish captives, forbade circumcision, crucified violators,
- He offered a swine to every village in the area
- This turned into a war started with his officers arriving at a village of Mattathias, a Hasmonean, and his sons
- Mattathias was now hated by the soldiers because he killed the first Jew to approach the pagan altar Antiochus Epiphanes had made, so they were now fugitives, heading for the hills
- This became a war when Mattathias then rallied a rag tag army, led by Judas Maccabeus, called the Maccabean Revolt against the Seleucid Empire
- They defeat the much larger Syrian armies. Sound familiar? Think 1948 in Israel
- Three years later ,they retook Jerusalem and rededicated the temple to the LORD, destroying the idols, altars, etc.
- This today is what we call Hanukkah

Hebrews 9:1-8
Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary. For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.
And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all; Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant; And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.
Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God. But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people: The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:
- Watch every word here........the Holiest of Holiest was only reserved only for the High Priest once a year to sprinkle blood on the mercy seat, behind the veil. Bells on his clothing and tethered to a rope in case he failed to do this right, and God struck him dead, so that they could pull, drag him out without having to enter in.
Of course, we have access to that now, daily:
Hebrews 10:19
Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
Hebrews 9:3
And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;
Hebrews 9:8
The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:
Now Jesus, talking to the people, to us, etc. is talking of a future repeat of the abomination of desolation, and says,
"When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation"
What He is saying is that, with modern technology, this will be easily possible. Otherwise, who could see it? This event will be broadcast worldwide on TV, all portable devices, etc. Over satellite and cable and fiber optic. They are told to flee, just pray that it is not on the Sabbath day (see that? It is Jews, not Christians, not Gentiles).
- The anti-Christ, not Antiochus Epiphanes, will do the same abomination of the altar, now rebuilt in Jerusalem, slaying a pig and causing the Jews again to scatter, calling himself God.
- We are getting all three of the next prophecy a lot today, more and more, pestilences, famines, earthquakes, all over the world, but this is still not the Great Tribulation, just "the beginning of sorrows", a season right before, a warning to mankind about the next event, now that Israel is back in their land and surrounded by enemies waiting for the last war: The Pre-Tribulation Rapture of the church
- The first thing that happens right before any war is the calling home of the ambassadors
2 Corinthians 5:20
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
- Israel, the believers are now beginning to feel the last major persecution worldwide in a way not felt since the first century, with Hitler, the Roman Catholic hierarchy, Communism, Islam onhoinf the last 2,000 years but heating up now.
- The offenses between believers and friends, familes, turning people in, which happened a lot in communist countries, today in Islamic countries, soon in America
- Because of the great apostasy, as was said at the top, false teachers, false prophets abound now and are deceiving many through electronic and social media
- People today are so hateful, nasty, uncaring, unloving, Gen ____ hating Gen _____, kids hating parents. Prophecy fulfilled now on that one
- "He that shall endure": A perfect verse for a "you can lose your salvation" heretic to take out of context. Who is "He that shall endure"? Can only be a believer, as unbeliever will be saved, eternally as unsved can be saved in this life for a time, but saved is saved eternally.
- Read Revelation. Two witnesses seen worldwide preaching the gospel, angels in heaven preaching to the world, not happening today with missionaries, etc.
- Then, in Revelation, the end arrives, finally, when Jesus returns to earth, to the Mount of Olives, not when He comes to the clouds to take out the church back to heaven, but to land and stay and rule 1,000 years
- The anti-Christ, not Antiochus Epiphanes, will do the same abomination of the altar, now rebuilt in Jerusalem, slaying a pig and causing the Jews again to scatter, calling himself God.
(2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 [KJV])
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
- Three places, mountaintops, in the house, the field, wherever you are-RUN! RUN NOW! RUN FAST! GET OUT OF DODGE!< /li>
- As was said earlier, it will be very hard for pregnant women and women with small children to flee. Cars will be electronically disabled and or dangerous to be recognized, seen driving in
- Winter especially too cold to just travel by foot while being chased down
- This IS the Great Tribulation, like has never hit the world before this time
- So great that so many will die, that it can only go on for so long or there would be no one left. The days of Noah were the same, in that only eight people made it through, only they were in the ark. In this case, Jesus is the Ark, but not from death in this life, but eternal life if they are killed or not.
- The only reason that God will end that Great Tribulation is for the elect, which will be Israel (saved and unsaved who enter the Millennial Kingdom of Christ) and Gentiles who get saved during the Tribulation and escape the anti-Christ
- The false teachers, false prophets will do false miracles via satanic powers of the occult, today, more so in the tribulation, as is recorded in Revelation and even Paul said the enemy will appear as an angel of light to deceive
- They were to know and even before the book of the Revelation, so we really should know now, ahead of time.
- Jesus will not just be found walking and seen in earth some place when He arrive. In the Rapture, He does not even come to earth. so no one can say they just saw Him in the desert, in this city or that, by the ocean side. At His second coming, it will be unmistakable, in the clouds and every eye shall see Him, no one needing to say, "Just go look here or there and you will see Him"
- Do those in a storm not see the lightning? Of course, and wait for the thunder
- When He comes, many will be dead and die at His coming, so vultures will be ever present to eat
- How will they be prepared to see His coming? Again, signs in the sun and moon, unmistakable that will make people go outside and look up to see what is happening
- He will have angels gather us all up and we will come with Him on His Second Coming
- Who is the fig tree? It may or may not be Israel. But ,in Luke,
Luke 21:29
And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
- So we are in the season of that fig tree abd all other trees now, because our historic barometer, the time teller, the sing nation, Israel, since 1947, 1948, 1956, 1967, 1973 and today daily, now that she is back in her land God gave her and her enemies are constantly attacking her daily and will never stop
- They further are making constant "peace treaties", all false, since Muslims are forbidden to make peace treaties with "infidels", and ESPECIALLY Israel.
- This generation could be the ones post world war two who were around when Israel was given back her land by God (not the U.N.)
- Some are still alive from then, old, dying, but still here until the Rapture
- A promise that his will indeed happen, and that His Words will never, ever pass away, be lost in any way
- This that Jesus does not know the day or the hours is used by hereticks to falsely claim that Jesus cannot be God as God knows all things. This is why we are never to take any verses out of context-EVER!
- In fact and in truth, this shows that God is three individual persons, all God, all different people
- Since Jesus does not know and is waiting to take us home, we cannot know either, which puts the kibosh on "Doomsday predictors" and "Doomsday Preppers"
- We know we are in the season, we know how trees work in spring and that we can expect fruit any time now, just not EXACTLY what day or hour
- Now contrast this to the Second Coming, exactly three and a half years after the breaking of the peace agreement Israel makes with the anti-Christ to the day, or 1,260 day to the day. No need to predict or even decipher. Just count down and mark off the calendar days and wait-huge difference, no?
- If the Rapture timing is unknown to us, like it is to Jesus, but the Second Coming is calculable, then they simply cannot be at the same time
- Noah and his family knew it was 120 years and entered the ark. God shut them in
- The world was warned, year after year and month after month, week after week, day after day and completely ignored every warning, denied and mocked Noah and said, "Where is the promise of this flood you speak of? It has never rained and we do not see any flood coming.
- Until it was too late and the ark door was closed
- The same will be at the rapture for many but God, in His mercy and grace, will save some Gentiles and some Jews up to, until and even at the end of the Great Tribulation
- The other thing is that, just exactly like today, the world was "eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage"until that very day
- They "knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. "
- Because they did not want to know or hear any more about it. If God did not protect Noah and his family, they certainly would have been murdered
- Back to the Rapture, where one is left behind, one taken.
- How do we know? The next verse says, "one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. "
- That means the event spoken of here is hidden and unknown, unlike the Second Coming which can be numbered to the exact day.
- The application to the unbeliever is to "Get saved because you are waiting to see Jesus and THEN you will believe in Him", except that will not work
- Why? Because He will come as a thief in the night, secretly and if you were not watching for him, you will get broken into
- And again the reference to the Rapture, the secreting away of the church, "Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. "
- That is not possible when you are on day 1,259 of 1,260 and know that tomorrow He comes to save Israel
- The rest if another reference to one servant who is watching and one who is not, and then the judgment day and casting into hell for those who are not paying attention
MARK 13
And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here! And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,
Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled? And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you: For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows. But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them. And the gospel must first be published among all nations. But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost. Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains: And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house: And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment. But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter. For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be. And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days. And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not: For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things. But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven. Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near: So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
- As in the other gospels, the glorying over the temple of God built by Israel
- Again the prophecy recorded of the destruction of the temple in 70 A.D.
- Jews seek a sign, the Greeks seek wisdom:
(1 Corinthians 1:22 [KJV])
For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
This is for many reasons, such as God gave them signs, they always asked for them and, in their mind, "Seeing is believing". For the Christian now in the Church Age, "Believing is seeing"
- Thew destruction of the temple is all that Mark recorded here, as thoroughness in other accounts is in Luke and Matthew, God being God is allowed to restate anything He wants and way He wants, and without contradiction. The Old Testament was revealed in the New Testament and the New Testament was concealed in the Old, little by little revealed. So Mark wrote what He was told by the Holy Ghost The Rapture and Second Coming were not recorded but, we know he knew about them being at the Olivet Discourse with them
- The repeatedly recorded warning is to not be deceived, Jesus knowing that this is easy to be, then, even more now in these last days in the church of Laodicea
- Just think about the last 2,000 years, from then to now, starting with just two to name some, Menahem ben Judah, Moses of Crete.
- Recently, Benjamin Creme, David Koresh, the popes, all founders of the cults, New Age philosophers, etc. The list is extensive and never ending with many followers
- This even included Adolf Hitler and his Third Reich, which was to annihilate all Jews and bring in his kingdom. Many viewed him as a messiah
- This is another prophecy fulfilled which was made by Jesus
- We have had wars and rumours of wars for over a century now, and heating up, but none will be the final battle, because that is at the end of the Great Tribulation
- One big battle may break out, probably so, right after the Rapture of the church to start the Great Tribulation, seven year period,
- This will be because of the panic caused by so many suddenly disappearing, like drivers of vehicles, pilots, people speaking in front of crowds, etc.
- This war will be so harsh that it will force Israel and the nations to look for a peace maker, for a peace treaty.
- The earthquakes, famines, all sorts of troubles, manmade pandemics (Plan-demics, think COVID), are rampant today, but we have not seen the worst of any of it
- "But take heed to yourselves" is back to them directly, the apostles, then
- They were delivered up to councils, the Sanhedrin in Acts, before Caesars, before rulers, kings, governors such as Felix, etc., for preaching the gospel
- A break: The reason is because the Gospel must go out to all nations via them being scattered from Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Acts 1:8
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
- Same command to rely on the Holy Ghost for words Jesus will give them
- The betrayal is an ongoing thing from their time until now, people giving believers up to any authority hunting them down until now in the Roman Empire, Muslim, Communist, Socialist countries
- "but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved." This is a section taken out of context to "justify" falsely works salvation
- It means that anyone left at the end of the Tribulation will be spared when the anti-Christ is destroyed by the coming of Jesus Christ to earth. It can also refer to the eternally secure as those are the only ones who will be able to endure to the end. The Jews left will be spared as Jesus Christ will land on the Mount of Olives, save Israel, and rule for a thousand years with the elders before the Throne, with us, with the Jews, etc. and any Gentiles who enter the Millennial Kingdom, surviving (enduring unto the end) the anti-Christ
- This has nothing to do with eternal salvation, everlasting salvation. Just saved from the devil and his minions, physically is all.
- This is what contexts (Isaiah 28) is all about
- This seeing of the " abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) " referred to the Antiochus Epiphanes affair in the first century, to be repeated by the anti-Christ in the center of the Tribulation
- In both instances, at both times, then and in the future, the Jews had to and will have to disperse, be chased, flee and hide from the onslaught of the enemy
- "For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be."
- This is for sure the second appearance of this persecution to wipe them all out, because it says that it will be unprecedented on earth, because nothing like this has ever happened before at all
- This second attempt is also the second to last attempt, the last being at the end of the Revelation/Great Tribulation period, ended by God at the end of the Millennial Kingdom:
(Revelation 20:7-15 [KJV])
And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
-
THE SECOND COMING:
- Visible to all on earth
- All of us in heaven gathered together by angels
- There will be believers spread all over the earth as well to be gathered to see the Christ, the Messiah, Jesus Christ, on earth, as many Jews and Gentiles will be saved in the Tribulation, as many will also be martyred, murdered, killed with beasts, pestilences, plagues, earthquakes, the swords of muslims, and these are all things that God will bring of necessity, to bring people to God, so that they seek him or make them hate God and blame Him and not themselves, refusing to repent
- This all will be so bad that God HAS to stop it or all of mankind on earth will die.
- Signs unmistakable in the skies, with the sun darkened without clouds, the moon red, making people scared literally to death
- Stars, perhaps meteorites, comets etc. falling to earth like crazy all over the world, this time in larger numbers, in larger sizes, more deadly, very scary
- This is the end of the Great Tribulation, unprecedented and all of the earth shall see Jesus riding in the clouds on a white horse, us coming with Him
- Now they will know that it is all over, everythign is now in His Hands
- As was written earlier, this includes angels bringing God's people from all over the earth to Him
- That fig tree is Israel and has always been the barometer of when that season in prophecy and time is and their return to their land, their taking back Jerusalem, their being hated worldwide even by many in the church, is proof that we are in that very season Her branch is tender, nas put forth leaves and summer is near
- Because we see all of this, WE know that summer is near now, in these last days, and there is no excuse
- We are in that generation that will not pass, as old as they are getting now
- Again the timing of the Rapture to start all of this ending is unknown to us, as it was to the Christians in Paul's day. They were in such persecution and martyrdom that they thought that the Rapture had somehow happened and that they were in the midst of the Great Tribulation themselves, without all of these signs given for it in these three records and accounts of the Olivet Discourse
- For us the example is a man going away for an unknown amount of time which he does not disclose and he wants all to stay steadfast to the work and watch for him to come back. That is our job. Most of the church us now asleep to that task, that work. Let us not be that way.
LUKE 21
And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said, As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass? And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them. But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by. Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake. And it shall turn to you for a testimony. Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake. But there shall not an hair of your head perish. In your patience possess ye your souls.
And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people. And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives. And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, for to hear him.
- The temple God gave the design to Solomon for and Israel built
- Jesus tells them that it shall be destroyed utterly, brick by brick (70 A.D.)
- The question recorded and reported about the destruction of the temple opnly, not the Second Coming asked here in Luke
- Over all view of the false christs throughout history (Nebuchadnezzar, Caesars, many today in the "church"
- A warning to study the Word and pray so as o not be deceived, which is the only way
- This all is necessary to fulfill prophecy, Old Testament and all of the ones Jesus is giving them while He is with them
- Forward to the end times of what is today, now being fulfilled
- Earthquakes increasing worldwide, in places hitherto not even experiencing earthquakes,
- Notice" BEFORE all these things....the martyrdom of the apostles in Rome and the surrounding environs
- Their testimony will be, "Sire, we torture and murder these Christians and they do not deny this Jesus they call the Christ!"
- Jesus will give them words to say before the leaders, the kings, magistrates, etc.
- So both the persecutions and the testimonies with their words and their lives has been fulfilled now by them in the first and second century
- Then, as now, people will turn on their own loved ones who are Christians and turn them in-then in the Roman Empire, throughout the Dark Ages, today in all Communist countries and now soon in America
- An encouragement that no one can resist God's Words with wisdom to argue agans them and it, no one
- Christians and Jews, hated by all nations, then in the first century and especially today. All of the apostles were basically persecuted, imprisoned, tortured, Peter crucified upside down even, Perhaps only John died in prison of an old age
(Revelation 1:9 [KJV])
I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
- Our glorified bodies will be perfect after our death, as there is nothing that death can do to our soul, reunited in the Resurrection
- Wait on the LORD, "Wait on me, I will return"
- In the destruction of Jerusalem, Israel was surrounded and the city destroyed with the temple.destroyed by her enemies
- In the last battle, Armageddon in Revelation, Israel is surrounded by her enemies in one last, desperate attempt top destroy God's people and will utterly fail at Christ's Coming when HE alone destroys them
- "Disperse!" "Disperse!" "Disperse!" and they will in Revelation into the wilderness, as they did in 70 A.D.
- In the Dispersia, it was very hard for pregnant women, women with small children, as it always is, especially with a huge and powerful Roman army after you
- Enter the church age, "the times of the Gentiles", so far 2,000 plus years and counting
- Astronomical signs are either happening in the skies today with the sun moon and stars with people counting them as prophetic but for sure in the Great Tribulation period they will be going on and many if not all will see them
- Anything astronomical today is being used by cults or to start them such as the Hale Bopp comet cult, etc.
- People will simply drop dead of heart attacks watching these things happen in the skies
- Jesus says,
" And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. "
- It says, "look UP". not "look OUT", as that us what we look for, the Rapture, not "Watch OUT! The anti-Christ is after you!" Because we are gone by then
- The LORD Jesus Christ returns to earth to save Israel and destroy her enemies
- Jesus tells them to look up because their help is Him, not their military, their own strength, power, will, but will come from above in heaven to earth He himself
- We are living currently in 2026 in Revelation 3:14, the church of Laodicea
