All of the studies found here, whether book studies or topical studies, are done with research with mainly two things: The KING JAMES BIBLE and a plain old, 1828 Webster's Dictionary. Why? Outside of actually studying secular and Jewish history recorded in the Word of God and in any ancient records from many, which records support it, plus archaeology, one needs nothing more. You do not need foreign, dead languages that no one speaks, nor lexicons, nor concordances, nor commentaries, because they differ not only with one another and with the KING JAMES BIBLE, they create division, confusion, debate, and unbelief, apostasy, and a falling away from God Himself. We do not need them. That Word of God, written and preserved for us in our own language, is supposed to be enough, like the Old Testament was for the Jews, and as the New Testament was for the early Christians in Greek, Latin, Italian, Spanish, German, etc.

There are studies within as tangents on words, subjects found within the two testaments, as to broaden the scope of the study, to learn more, deeper truths. Jude is a small book with a big impact on us who study and read it, covering a lot of good and bad, past history, present fulfillment and future salvation and future judgment, and this book today corrects a lot of false teaching in America, which is popular, prevalent in pulpits, "seminaries". It must be remembered that this was written during the intense persecution of Christians under the Romans, by both them and the Jewish leadership, all done in ignorance, open rejection of the gospel, leading to the dispersia. Jude was a half brother of Jesus, brother of James. It is often a very neglected book of the Bible for study, yet contains a lot of meat in a small amount of words, and describes so much for today. His half brother James wrote that epistle after his name, which was essentially,

    Truth guards the poet, sanctifies the line.
    To sanctify God, to praise and celebrate him as a holy being; to acknowledge and honor his holy majesty, and to reverence his character and laws. Isa 8.
    God sanctifies himself or his name, by vindicating his honor from the reproaches of the wicked, and manifesting his glory. Ezek 36.

Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.


THE EXODUS: ISRAEL'S REMOVAL AND EGYPT'S JUDGMENT

  1. This was timely, when Egypt was at its worst against God and His people (Exodus, Numbers, Deuteronomy)
  2. This was amazing, astonishlingly miraculous, allowing millions to escape Egypt, a type of the world
  3. Egypt was a world empire, humbled by God, before God, before Israel's own eyes
  4. God set this whole series of events up, piece by piece, to show His Strength, Power and Glory
  5. This was something to behold, one of the great miracles of Scripture, like the Flood, Sodom and Gomorrah
  6. Now this the lesson for them, that Jude wants them to look at closely
  7. This epistle is about apostasy and its consequences at the Hand of the Almighty God, the Judge of all the earth
  8. Israel experienced salvation, then fell largely into apostasy, unbelief, then into destruction, with a remnant saved, repeatedly, but especially out of Egypt and after Egypt
  9. This is not something one could forget, since it ws such a large part of their history, over 400 years as slaves, foretold, fulfilled, miraculously reversed

SODOM AND GOMORRAH: GOING AFTER STRANGE FLESH

  • God removed Lot and his family, his wife looking back and turning into a pillar of salt
  • This is a precursor, a type, a forerunner of the pre-tribulation rapture of the church
  • God could have left Lot there and destroyed everything in the cities all around him, protecting him and his family, but He did not, because that is the way God always does it

    DIGNITY, n. [L., worthy.]

    7. In oratory, one of the three parts of elocution, consisting in the right use of tropes and figures.
    8. In astrology, an advantage which a planet has on account of its being in some particular place of the zodiac, or in a particular station in respect to other planets.

    CAIN: THE NATURAL MAN: GENESIS 4

And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him. ¶ And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.

    Cain was a at a time when mankind was still a vegetarian, but God had asked for an animal sacrifice to cover sin, like the animal He slew and coats of skins for his own parents. Cain knew better. Abel understood as well, but the difference was humility before God, not pride of himself being wiser and better than God

    BALAAM: LIKEWISE THE FOOL, NUMBERS 22

    1. Balaam the son of Beor was a famous conqueror, from Esau, an Edomite (Genesis 36:43)
    2. Beor was an area where Laban lived, who Abraham visited
    3. Balaam thought himself powerful enough to curse and bless as God, and so did Balak think of himself and Balaam
    4. God showed Balaam His own Power, opening the mouth of the very ass he was riding on to rebuke him, showing him that HE, BALAAM, was the ass!
    5. Fast forward and apply this to today, and one can see the foolishness of mankind, rampant in both Laodicea (worldly church) and the world itself

    SPOT, n. [We see this word is of the family of spatter, and that the radical sense is to throw or thrust. A spot is made by spattering or sprinkling.
    1. A mark on a substance made by foreign matter; a speck; a blot; a place discolored. The least spot is visible on white paper .
    2. A stain on character or reputation; something that soils purity; disgrace; reproach; fault; blemish.
      Yet Chloe sure was formed without a spot.

    3. A small extent of space; a place; any particular place.
      The spot to which I point is paradise. Fixed to one spot. So we say, a spot of ground, a spot of grass or flowers; meaning a place of small extent.
    4. A place of a different color from the ground; as the spots of a leopard.
    5. A variety of the common domestic pigeon, so called from a spot on its head just above its beak.
    6. A dark place on the disk or face of the sun or of a planet.
    7. A lucid place in the heavens.
      Upon the spot, immediately; before moving; without changing place. [So the French say, sur le champ.]
      It was determined upon the spot.

    FRUITLESS TREES

    1. These are "religious" people, all with outward appearance, dead inside their entire lives
    2. John called these types vipers, as in serpents and snakes which slither through congregations, and these are rampant in the churches today
    3. Trees that are created by God and planted by men, which produce no fruit, must be taken out to make room for trees that do produce fruit
    4. They are burned, like the fake "Christians", the same as Pharisees, Saduccees
    5. Specific trees are planted to produce specific fruit
    6. Specific Christians are called to exercise their specific gifts, but all Christians are called to produce fruit when saved
    7. The exact opposite of the fruits of a righteous tree is the works of the flesh, which are evil. Both are listed below.
    8. The same principle applies to wheat and tares, goats and sheep of God's flock, wolves among the sheep, dressed as sheep, sowing seed in good soil versus sowing seed on stony ground, too much yeast (any, really) which leavens the entire dough ball (lump) and must be purged
