(Deuteronomy 4:2 [KJV]) Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I
command you.
(Proverbs 30:5, 6 [KJV]) Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
(Isaiah 28:10...13 [KJV])
For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
(Isaiah 28:13 [KJV])
But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
(2 Peter 1:20 [KJV])

THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST: DOES IT SAVE US?
BLOOD, n.
The fluid which circulates through the arteries and veins of the human body, and of other animals, which is essential to the preservation of life. This fluid is generally red. If the blood of an animal is not red, such animal is called exsanguious, or white-blooded; the blood being white, or white tinged with blue.
Kindred; relation by natural descent from a common ancestor; consanguinity.
God hath made of one blood, all nations of the earth. Acts 17.
Royal lineage; blood royal; as a prince of the blood.

Temper of mind; state of the passions; but in this sense, accompanied with cold or warm, or other qualifying word. Thus to commit an act in cold blood, is to do it deliberately, and without sudden passion. Warm blood denotes a temper inflamed or irritated; to warm or head the blood, is to excite the passions.
A hot spark; a man of fire or spirit; a rake.
The juice of any thing, especially if red; as, "the blood of grapes." Gen 49. Whole blood. In law, a kinsman of the whole blood is one who descends from the same couple of ancestors; of the half blood, one who descends from either of them singly, by a second marriage.
YES INDEED, IT SAVES US, ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURE ITSELF
The word "BLOOD" Appears in every book of God's Word except for fifteen of them-namely, the books of Ezra, Esther, Nehemiah, Daniel (strangely), Amos, Obadiah, Malachi, 2 Corinthians, Philippians, 1 & 2 Thessalonians, 1 & 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon,
(Genesis 3:21 [KJV])
Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
In order to make clothing of the skin of an animal, it must be killed and skinned, shedding blood. Even......back........then.....blood was important to God, meaning life, the life of an innocent animal. This sacrifice was to cover their sin, which led to the shame of their nakedness, now present in the world after the fall. It covered their sin, but did not remove it. The blood of Jesus Christ as a word in the text is removed, many times, in the "modern" "versions", such as the "NIV", "RSV", NKJV", "ESV", "NLT" etc. in many places, cover to cover. The importance of the blood sacrifice is manifold:
To show the severity of their disobedience to God's only command, by death, dying, shedding of blood of an innocent animal
To show the severity of their disobedience to God's only command, since it was not the fruit, it was the disobedience. They did not kill the fruit, thy ate it. God killed the animal nevertheless.
To illustrate that God Himself one day would have to come and die, paying for sin with His own Blood
God later testified to them that blood was life, so this innocent animal death was by blood, to consistently show this. God did not knock it on the head and bring the whole animal...He brought the skins as coats. God could have had THEM do it, but that is the same as works salvation, and his was to illustrate the future Messiah. Therefore, God Himself had to do this sacrifice and not Adam and Eve, because also no one had ever killed an animal on earth, and God showed them how, and that it now was necessary
Further and unrelated, it shows that plants do not have the same life as animals, people-no blood, eaten before the Fall and after. Cutting down a tree or lovely flowering plant, food plant would be needless, useless, and would illustrate nothing to them about the severity of their sin
(Genesis 4:1-5 [KJV])
And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD. And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering: But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
A tiller of the ground has really no need for a flock, which would only eat their crops as it is-unless it was for a sacrifice to God!
A keeper of flocks in a pre-Flood world would not be eating meat, because the command to eat meat was only given after the Flood, so the only purpose was a sacrifice to God, stated here. To sacrifice, one has to draw blood (Exodus, Leviticus, Deuteronomy, really every verse below with "BLOOD" in it) slaying it and pouring the blood out.
Because of that first sacrifice by God of the animal in Genesis three, Cain would have known to bring an animal sacrifice, since Abel knew, Cain knew. This means Cain had no respect for God and His command, nor his father Adam.
God reciprocated graciously, mercifully by disrespect for Cain's offering of plants, but sparing his life with the mark put on him in verse fifteen of chapter four. Once again, grace and mercy upon an undeserving person like us, since he murdered his own brother, but did not get the death penalty.
(Matthew 27:24-26 [KJV])
When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it. Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children. Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified. Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.
Even Pilate himself knew it was the BLOOD he was trying to declare his innocence over, not just the death, plus the Jews themselves, who wanted Jesus crucified, knew and freely acknowledged that it was His blood that would be upon their own heads for having Jesus crucified, because His manner of death would be by bleeding to death on that Cross. Scourging was a way to draw lots of blood out from the body, causing one to bleed to death if left un-bandaged. Not to mention CRUCIFIXION!
Blood is akin to life and associated with death, interchangeable in the language of justice, judgment from God, revenge, execution, murder, violence, pagan sacrifices, the
crime, the punishment, the atonement for sin, you name it.
God even hears it having been shed
Murder, killing the innocent, is more termed with the words "shed blood", "bloodshed" and "the shedding of blood" than any other way, in terms of the law. The life and death are truly in the blood.
As was stated earlier, after the fall, God Himself shed the blood of an animal to make skins for the first couple, Adam and Eve. To kill and skin an animal means to
shed blood. It covered their shame in nakedness, their sin. It did not remove it. That would be later, at the Cross.
The first death, the first murder of Abel by Cain, Jesus Himself called "the righteous blood of Abel"
The blood is not to be eaten in any meal, in any sacrifice, from the sacrificial animals
Shedding it in murder means judgment from God
Being made in the image of God, we have blood, like Jesus did
Blood is shed at circumcision of the flesh, and was accepted as shed for us, as the atonement for sin, in the circumcision of the heart (Christ's
blood)

The last judgment on Pharaoh and Egypt was blood of a slain lamb on the doorposts, lintels, to signify to the Angel of Death to PASSOVER Israel, to spare their
firstborn children, animals.
Blood was sprinkled on the altar of sacrifice and on the people as a sign of the covenant with God
THE BLOOD OF THE COVENANT
(Exodus 24:8 [KJV])
And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words.
(Ezekiel 44:7 [KJV])
In that ye have brought into my sanctuary strangers, uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary, to pollute it, even my house, when ye offer
my bread, the fat and the blood, and they have broken my covenant because of all your abominations.
(Zechariah 9:11 [KJV])
As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.
(Hebrews 10:29 [KJV])

was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
(Hebrews 12:24 [KJV])
And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
(Hebrews 13:20 [KJV])
Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
The word "BLOOD" appears 298 times in the Old Testament (forty books), ninety four times in the New Testament (twenty six books)

Blood in the Old Testament atoned for and covered sin, until the next time they needed it.
The Messiah Jesus completely atoned, removed it from us as far as the east is from the west, forever, through His Innocent shed Blood.
Life, blood always interchangeable, inexorably linked. "neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the LORD." (Leviticus 19:16 [KJV])
Blood was associated nearly always with the altar-top, bottom, around it, on the horns of the altar, as an atonement for sin
Blood was used on Aaron and the priesthood for anointing them for service to God
Blood of the sacrifice was sprinkled, poured, burned, used as a dip, etc.
Even the type of blood was important in the sacrifices to God, lambs, goats, bullocks, etc. Not hog blood,
not the blood of unclean animals, etc. If it touched a garment of the Levitical priesthood, the garment was holy. If it touched an earthen pot, that pot was unholy, to be
destroyed. (Leviticus 6)
Women who have had children bled to purify their bodies-specifically their wombs, for thirty three days for a male child, sixty six days for a female child
The blood of a lamb was used to cleanse lepers, applied to the right ear, right hand thumb and big toe of the right foot
The blood of an he goat and of a bullock were sprinkled on the mercy seat, by Aaron
This sacrificial blood reconciled them to God in fellowship, as a cleansing, as an atonement, to make reconciliation, to avenge, for healing, to purify, to anoint
priests, and was a forward look into the death by bloodshed of their Messiah the LORD Jesus Christ
In the Old Testament, the blood was brought in to the holy of holies by the high priest once a year. In the New Testament, Jesus Christ brought His OWN sacrificed Blood and
brought it into Heaven (Hebrews 9) for us

Literally, the communion cup represents the blood of Christ, in the New Covenant with us (1 Corinthians 11:25), not just the bread representing the flesh/body of our
LORD Jesus Christ
Flesh and blood together are often used to describe our mortal state in Scripture

In the Old Testament, the blood was drained, wring out (fatted fowls) spilled, sprinkled, poured all over the place, as in the top of the altar, down the sides dripping, on the floor/ground under it, on
the horns of the altar, on the priests' ears, big toe, thumb.
About the only things that were not done to it was to be eaten or preserved
In fact, blood is so ingrained in Scripture, cover to cover, that it is more than impossible and extremely dishonest, heretical to separate it
from God (Jesus Christ), from us, from life, from death.
Therefore, one must only conclude from the Word of God, only, that it was not JUST the death of Jesus Christ that saved ANYONE, but His death by His BLOOD, as it says.
Jesus could NEVER, EVER have been suffocated, poisoned, choked, beaten to death (with no bleeding!), as the BLOOD was the important part, Genesis to
Revelation
(Genesis 4:10 [KJV])
And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.
BLOOD CRIED OUT TO GOD IN THE MURDER OF ABEL
(Genesis 4:11 [KJV])
And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;
THAT SHEDDING CAUSED CAIN'S CURSE. Abel was not just buried after dying a natural death, nor was he poisoned nor suffocated, but God clearly brings out his death is by blood, being spilled on the ground-no matter how Abel died!
(Genesis 9:4 [KJV])

(Genesis 37:22 [KJV])
And Reuben said unto them, Shed no blood, but cast him into this pit that is in the wilderness, and lay no hand upon him; that he might rid him out of their hands, to
deliver him to his father again.
BLOODSHED=MURDER
(Genesis 37:26 [KJV])
And Judah said unto his brethren, What profit is it if we slay our brother, and conceal his blood?
(Genesis 37:31 [KJV])
And they took Joseph's coat, and killed a kid of the goats, and dipped the coat in the blood;

which thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land.
AND NOW, BLOOD is literally DEATH TO THE LAND! God could have turned it into wine, cement or anything else He wanted. This was a judgment on Egypt's
pagan sacrifices, bloodshed
(Exodus 4:25 [KJV])
Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me.

(Ezekiel 22:9 [KJV])
In thee are men that carry tales to shed blood:
and in thee they eat upon the mountains: in the midst of thee they
commit lewdness.
(Ezekiel 22:12 [KJV])
In thee have they taken gifts to shed blood;
thou hast taken usury and increase, and thou hast greedily gained of
thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord
GOD.
(Ezekiel 22:13 [KJV])
Behold, therefore I have smitten mine hand at thy dishonest gain
which thou hast made, and at thy blood which
hath been in the midst of thee.
(Ezekiel 22:27 [KJV])
Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey,
to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get
dishonest gain.
(Ezekiel 23:45 [KJV])
And the righteous men, they shall judge them after the manner of
adulteresses, and after the manner of women that shed blood;
because they are adulteresses, and blood is in
their hands.
(Ezekiel 24:6 [KJV])
Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody
city, to the pot whose scum is therein, and whose scum is not gone
out of it! bring it out piece by piece; let no lot fall upon it.
(Ezekiel 24:7 [KJV])
For her blood is in the midst of her; she set
it upon the top of a rock; she poured it not upon the ground, to
cover it with dust;
(Ezekiel 24:8 [KJV])
That it might cause fury to come up to take vengeance; I have set
her blood upon the top of a rock, that it
should not be covered.
(Ezekiel 28:23 [KJV])
For I will send into her pestilence, and blood
into her streets; and the wounded shall be judged in the midst of
her by the sword upon her on every side; and they shall know that I
am the LORD.
(Ezekiel 32:6 [KJV])
I will also water with thy blood the land
wherein thou swimmest, even to the mountains; and the rivers shall
be full of thee.
(Ezekiel 33:4 [KJV])
Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not
warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood
shall be upon his own head.
(Ezekiel 33:5 [KJV])
He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood
shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his
soul.
Here blood is the same as a soul
(Ezekiel 35:5 [KJV])
Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed the blood
of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of
their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end:
(Ezekiel 39:17 [KJV])
And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every
feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble
yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my
sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon
the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.
(Ezekiel 39:18 [KJV])

bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan.
(Ezekiel 43:18 [KJV])
And he said unto me, Son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; These are
the ordinances of the altar in the day when they shall make it, to
offer burnt offerings thereon, and to sprinkle blood
thereon.
(Ezekiel 43:20 [KJV])
And thou shalt take of the blood thereof, and
put it on the four horns of it, and on the four corners of the
settle, and upon the border round about: thus shalt thou cleanse and
purge it.
(Ezekiel 44:7 [KJV])
In that ye have brought into my sanctuary strangers, uncircumcised
in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary, to
pollute it, even my house, when ye offer my bread, the fat and the blood,
and they have broken my covenant because of all your abominations.
(Ezekiel 44:15 [KJV])
But the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, that kept the charge
of my sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me,
they shall come near to me to minister unto me, and they shall stand
before me to offer unto me the fat and the blood,
saith the Lord GOD:
(Ezekiel 45:19 [KJV])
And the priest shall take of the blood of the
sin offering, and put it upon the posts of the house, and upon the
four corners of the settle of the altar, and upon the posts of the
gate of the inner court.
(Hosea 1:4 [KJV])
And the LORD said unto him, Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little
while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel
upon the house of Jehu, and will cause to cease the kingdom of the
house of Israel.

and robbery; the prey departeth not;
(Habakkuk 2:8 [KJV])

people shall spoil thee; because of men's blood,
and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell
therein.
(Habakkuk 2:17 [KJV])
For the violence of Lebanon shall cover thee, and the spoil of
beasts, which made them afraid, because of men's blood,
and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell
therein.

As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant
I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.

twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:
(Matthew 23:30 [KJV])
And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not
have been partakers with them in the blood of
the prophets.
(Matthew 23:35 [KJV])
That upon you may come all the righteous blood
shed upon the earth, from the blood of
righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son
of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.
CHRIST"S OWN WORDS ABOUT CHRIST'S OWN BLOOD
(Matthew 26:28 [KJV])
For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
(Mark 14:24 [KJV])
And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.
(Luke 22:20 [KJV])
Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
(John 6:54-66 [KJV])
Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
Now, according the false teaching that the BLOOD Of Jesus Christ did not have to be shed to save us, why did Jesus say that His Blood, shed for us, IS the New Testament IN HS BLOOD!, along with His Body, for our ordinance of communion of the bread and wine?
(Matthew 27:6 [KJV])
And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.
(Matthew 27:8 [KJV])
Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day.
(Matthew 27:24 [KJV])
When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood

dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that
plague.

And he said unto them, This is my blood of the
new testament, which is shed for many.
(Luke 8:43 [KJV])
And a woman having an issue of blood twelve
years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could
be healed of any,
(Luke 8:44 [KJV])
Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and
immediately her issue of blood stanched.
(Luke 11:50 [KJV])
That the blood of all the prophets, which was
shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this
generation;
(Luke 11:51 [KJV])
From the blood of Abel unto the blood
of Zacharias, which perished between the altar and the temple:
verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation.
(Luke 13:1 [KJV])
There were present at that season some that told him of the
Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled
with their sacrifices.
(Luke 22:44 [KJV])
And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as
it were great drops of blood falling down to
the ground.
This is very significant, as extreme stress upon the body does
this. Why blood?
That is the question and the illustration of the importance of shed
blood for us.
(John 1:13 [KJV])
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will
of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
(John 6:53 [KJV])

beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
(Acts 2:20 [KJV])
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood,
before that great and notable day of the Lord come:
(Acts 15:20 [KJV])
But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of
idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
(Acts 17:26 [KJV])
And hath made of one blood all nations of men
for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the
times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
(Acts 20:26 [KJV])
Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood
of all men.
Having taken no lives, Paul is innocent of bloodshed
(Acts 20:28 [KJV])
Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the
which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of
God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
Notice it is not just Jesus's DEATH that
purchased us, but the manner of death, which was by His BLOOD being shed
for us.
(Acts 21:25 [KJV])
As touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and
concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep
themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood,
and from strangled, and from fornication.
(Acts 22:20 [KJV])
And when the blood of thy martyr Stephen was
shed, I also was standing by, and consenting unto his death, and
kept the raiment of them that slew him.
Stephen was stoned. Very significant that Paul here mentions
his BLOOD being shed.
(Acts 28:8 [KJV])
And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever
and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in,
and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.

Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood,
to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are
past, through the forbearance of God;
(1 Corinthians 10:16 [KJV])
The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood
of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the
body of Christ?
(1 Corinthians 11:25 [KJV])
After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped,
saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood:
this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
(1 Corinthians 11:27 [KJV])
Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the
Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood
of the Lord.
(1 Corinthians 15:50 [KJV])
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood
cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit
incorruption.

(Colossians 1:20 [KJV])
And, having made peace through the blood of
his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I
say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
The BLOOD of Jesus
Christ redeems us and brings us to the Father and allows us to be
at peace with the Father. That is the power of Christ's BLOOD
(Ephesians 6:12 [KJV])
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood,
but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of
the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high
places.
Lest anyone take this out of context, it is speaking of the
spiritual realm, not the fleshly one.
(Hebrews 2:14 [KJV])
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood,
he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death
he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the

without blood, which he offered for himself,
and for the errors of the people:
(Hebrews 9:12 [KJV])
Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but
by his own blood he entered in once into the
holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
That BLOOD
of Jesus Christ was brought before the Father and sprinkled on the
mercy seat in Heaven for us.
(Hebrews 9:13 [KJV])
For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and
the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the
purifying of the flesh:
(Hebrews 9:14 [KJV])
How much more shall the blood of Christ, who
through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God,
purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

entereth into the holy place every year with blood
of others;

For it is not possible that the blood of bulls
and of goats should take away sins.
(Hebrews 10:19 [KJV])
Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by
the blood of Jesus,
(Hebrews 10:29 [KJV])
Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought
worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted
the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was
sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit
of grace?
(Hebrews 11:28 [KJV])
Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood,
lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them.

of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned
without the camp.

Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood
of the everlasting covenant,

Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the
sea became blood;

And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet
Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest? And he said,
How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip
that he would come up and sit with him. The place of the scripture
which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and
like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth: In
his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare
his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.
The reference here is to Isaiah 53:6:

like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth: In

Of course, this is referring to Isaiah 53

how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And
that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according

(1 Chronicles 28:17 [KJV])
Also pure gold for the fleshhooks, and the bowls, and the cups: and
for the golden basons he gave gold by weight for every bason; and
likewise silver by weight for every bason of silver:
A STUDY IN BLOOD: HEBREWS 9
The context here is a contrast in Old and New Testaments, God's
dealings with both Jew and Gentile, as in the description of the
tabernacle, what went on in it, and the result to a sinner, versus
salvation through the Cross of the LORD Jesus Christ.
(Hebrews 9:1-10 [KJV])
Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine
service, and a worldly sanctuary. For there was a tabernacle made;
the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the
shewbread; which is called the sanctuary. And after the second veil,
the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all; Which had the
golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with
gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod
that budded, and the tables of the covenant; And over it the
cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now
speak particularly. Now when these things were thus ordained, the
priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the
service of God. But into the second went the high priest alone once
every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for
the errors of the people: The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the
way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the
first tabernacle was yet standing: Which was a figure for the time
then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that
could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to
the conscience; Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers
washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of
reformation.
The most important part here is the part where it says that the
high priest went in once per year, but
not without blood. Blood
imperfect, so it covered their sin(s) only.
(Hebrews 9:11-14 [KJV])
But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a
greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to
say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves,
but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having
obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of
goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean,
sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the
blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself
without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve
the living God?
Contrast that to perfect blood from
a perfect sacrificial lamb, God Himself being that lamb. Our
conscience is purged, before God, forever. Once done, not
yearly done. Because it is holy.
(Hebrews 9:15 [KJV])
And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by
means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were
under the first testament, they which are called might receive the
promise of eternal inheritance.
(Hebrews 9:16 [KJV])
For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death
of the testator.
Death, blood, here again
interchangeable.
(Hebrews 9:17-22 [KJV])
For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of
no strength at all while the testator liveth. Whereupon neither the
first testament was dedicated without blood. For when Moses had
spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took
the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and
hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, Saying,
This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.
Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the
vessels of the ministry. And almost all things are by the law purged
with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
Death, blood,
interchangeable once again .The death of the testator,
dedicated with blood.
(Hebrews 9:23 [KJV])
It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the
heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things
themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ is not
entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures
of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence
of God for us: Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the
high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of
others; For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of
the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to
put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. And as it is appointed
unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was
once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for
him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
So, the shed Blood of the LORD Jesus Christ was so powerful to
save that it only had to be offered one time, not yearly, as
opposed to the earthly shed blood of animals, which never saved
anyone, but only covered their sin. Jesus entered into
Heaven itself with His own shed BLOOD!
CONCLUSION
The blood of mankind is, to God and us,
in every way, life and death.
The blood of the LORD Jesus Christ is
likewise, and powerful to save mankind.
The blood of the LORD Jesus Christ is
vital to our salvation, essential, central, relevant and
powerful enough to save us from a fiery hell, to go to Heaven,
forever.
No saved Christian can deny these things, as they are from
God's Word, without private interpretation, in their context,
plainly written, stated, throughout, cover to cover of
Scripture.
One who is honest, saved can not read and believe God's Word as
it is written, honestly, every word and verse in context,
without private interpretation, and conclude that blood has
nothing whatsoever to do with with salvation of mankind.
It takes changing meanings of words, ignoring entire sections
of both testaments, privately interpreting Scripture to fit
one's preconceived ideas about what blood is and does, taking
verses out of context. Simply put, it requires unbelief, rank
heresy.
Blood is cover to cover in God's Word, beginning at the fall
and ending with the judgment of the world, interwoven hundreds
of times.
Anyone who tells you otherwise is DEAD WRONG-and probably
spiritually dead
